Description

Gift from Morton Fullerton. With inscription, "To E.W. from W.M.F. 24 Jan. 1912."

Fullerton has also included a dedication in Greek, paraphrasing lines from the Greek poet Meleager's The Greek Anthology. A literal (if inelegant) translation of the dedication reads thus: "I proclaim that someday in story sweet-speaking Heliodora will surpass by her graces the Graces themselves."
